LEEDS UNITED v ROTHERHAM AMATEURS.

Leeds concluded their holiday programme yesterday before about 2,000 spectators on the Elland Road ground. Out of four matches played in five days three have been won, their goal record being sixteen goals to their opponents three.

An interesting game was witnessed, the Amateurs proving themselves capable of playing good football, although they were no match for their robust opponents. Early in the game Roulston, at outside left, put across a fine centre, from which Booth opened the scoring for the United. Five minutes later a flag kick from the left was accurately placed in the Rotherham goalmouth by Roulston and smartly headed into the net by McGee. Just before the interval W. Enzor at outside, tried hard to penetrate the home defence, but was finally bundled off the ball. Halfway through the second half the United went further ahead. Following a hot attack on the Amateurs goal, Booth scored from short range. Result:- Leeds United 3 Rotherham Amateurs 0.
